Hi everyone, i just bought a zotac gtx 970 and im wondering if it gets too hot.
When i play assassins creed, diablo and counter-strike it gets 80C without overclock and about 85C with overclock. Is this too high?
I have also noticed that my game (asscreed unity) freezes for like 5 seconds every now and then, first i thought it was because unity is badly optimised but i have gotten black flickering when im playing diablo also (one time). Is my graphics card broken?
And also, my fan is running at about 60-70% depending on the game and overclock.

Assassins creed unity does the exact same thing to me, it freezes for a few seconds every once in a while, I think that's a game problem. I have an MSI Radeon R9 280 and assassins creed unity is hard to run on high so I'm running it on medium, even then I'm getting high 80's even 90 degrees without overclocking. So My temps are similar to yours.

My zotac 970 at idle hover around 38-40c and hit 81-82c at max load so there is nothing to worry about. The black flickering might mean that you overclock your gpu too high try underclock it a little maybe that'll help.

Yeah I thought so too, but I remembered that I only use overclock for assassins creed :/

Or maybe I left it on so yeah it could be that

Ass creed U is a pain to run on like every system since ubishit just skip the entire optimization process so i don't think it is your gpu fault. If you are concern with the gpu heat just put a fan on the side panel of your case it will help drawing more fresh air for the gpu.
