Strange thing happened a couple months back.

I don't know what happened, but I was using win32diskimager and usually it never locks the drive entirely when you use it but i was using that and some other program or something to put the windows 10 preview onto it. Then it got locked (write protected). My flash drive doesn't have that lock feature you can switch on it. As of now the flash drive stands as a bootable usb stick that has windows 10 installer on it.

Is there a way to fix this? I tried a few things like some CMD commands but still no luck.

Format it in Disk Management.

Can't, this is what I meant to when trying to format or to shrink/delete/ volume isn't visible or will say is write protected.

Open CMD, open 'diskpart' then 'list disk', 'select disk #' (# number of the drive), then do 'attributes disk clear readonly'

Doesn't work. Says Disk is write protected when i try to format after the cmd commands were successful.

Tried it with EaseUS partition master? I find that that tool usually does the things that Windows doesn't allow.

Be sure to hit the "apply" button, Partition Master first makes a list of commands and waits for you to tell it to execute those. It took me a couple of minutes to figure that out the first time I used it.

A Linux live stick could also be a solution. Boot into Linux, launch Gparted and try to remove any flags and re-partition the stick with that.

Same as the Partition Master, be sure to hit the "apply" button after selecting your commands.
