Well if 30fps is all good with you than AMD is the fix. For 60fps or better Intel is the god send for gamers.

Oh I hear this all the time... if the game does not run @ 60fps on some AMD FX shit then that means it's unoptimized LOL meanwhile it runs @ over 100fps on Intel.

exactly, intel is indeed better and it won't mean AMD cpu's are shit...the FX 8 core CPU's are overpriced at this moment and they are not a very good option for gamers, but saying they sucks and stuff like that is completely stupid, cause honestly they don't...they just are older technology that has been kept on the market for way too long but these are targeted at budget workstation and home server in which situation they excel and that's why they are still available, they should just no longer be recommended for a new builder looking for a gaming rig IMHO...that's all there is to say about this.

Intel targets the mainstream gamers, and enthusiast. exactly...its like people who bash amd vs nvidia....people are so blinded sometimes by brand they don't realize that companies constantly leapfrog each other. Right now AMD is behind Intel in the enthusiast cpu....but that could all change in a cpu generation. Then what? I doubt they would jump ship and mock the other company.

 

I have no skin in the game as i own bother sets (AMD for my main game rig, Intel/nvidia for my htpc). They all serve their functions at certain price points. I got a gigabyte 970 UD3P mobo and Fx 6300 for 110 dollars combined, for every day gaming and other miscellaneous tasks, nothing else came close to this price.

Well it Devils canyon isn't that much I don't think. I'm pretty sure it its ranged around $200 American but I was solid AMD man and I like Intel also. Its just according what you want or are doing with the desktop you build but yea you can still have fun with AMD products and get the bang for the buck.

Without AMD CPUs another corporation would take it's place. As it were AMD and Intel have a dualopoly on the market and they have locked out any competition.

Not they way it works. Intel will only charge what people are willing to pay. This is called economics.
