Without AMD CPUs another corporation would take it's place. As it were AMD and Intel have a dualopoly on the market and they have locked out any competition.

Not they way it works. Intel will only charge what people are willing to pay. This is called economics.

Hmmm you do have a point about the Intel charging point. Honestly who cares what cpu you have, as long as it gets what your needs done its good because most people still have crappy laptops or old school desktops
