worth upgrading?

hello, i have an i5 3750 is it worth upgrading to a i5 4790 for gaming and some other stuff but no productivity really.

and is it possible to overlock this non k series cpu a little because linus said in one of his holiday buyers guide's that you can overlock

an ivy bridge cpu a little.

No, it's not really worth upgrading from an i5 to an i7 just for gaming. Yes, you might be able to oc depending on the motherboard.

In the case that you mistyped and meant you had an i5-3570, you'd need z77--possibly some other non-z boards would work as well.
