Parents keyboard doesn't work properly

My mom is complaining about how the keyboard on their machine doesn't work properly for word processing.

I've tried it and basically if you type a sentence, let's say "I like to eat pie" it will think for a sec or so then maybe spit out "I let e" and a couple seconds later "tpe".

 

Any ideas?

Try plugging in another keyboard if you have one. Is the lag the main problem? If so, it might be time for a RAM upgrade. If its fine, then a mobo/CPU upgrade, or if its dusty inside then clean it out and see if it'll help (it usually doesn't). My humble suggestions... and @Jerakl follow your thread

Maybe too little ram? Or get a crappy $5 keyboard and see if that fixes it. Parents won't know the difference.

i dont blame that on the keyboard, its registering all the keys it would send them out in order, i blame software.

 

its your parrents coomputer. ask yourself. on a scale of one to ten how tech savvy are they? if its below 4 clean things up and try some antivirus. i think its the processor being worked too hard somewhere else.

(i only say this because thats what happened to my mom when this happened, like the exact same kinda thing)

kk i got it.

buy whole new ln2 cooled 5960x and four way 980s then get the logitech k120 make them new pc should fix it.

It's not the processor. It's a pretty beastly pc. They aren't very tech savvy but know that they need to run virus scan once a week or so. And there's no toolbars on their browser. sooooo.

try other keyboards just to be sure. :3 cause if the problem persists then it is thier pc.

My mech works fine on it. I told my mom to go buy a cheap 20$ keyboard. That's the only other keyboard though. So no control.
