I strongly believe you're wrong about this. The YOTS has been confirmed in my neck of the woods as having alu base with white LED back light. Regular DS III will looks like DS II with its black plastic base.....it's the YOTS which would stand out as it has alu base and a limited run of 999 sets. I've already seen pics posted by a local distributer of Ducky KB's and have deposited some money to ensure that I'd get one......for sure!

 

FYI, the pics I've seen has a snake 'cutout' on the spacebar to let light thru.....found the pic, it speaks volumes by itself.

The camo board was just a pre-production prototype. It's been axed, the YOTS is confirmed to be an aluminum white LED board like GamerDude posted.

Got an email from NCIX (Canada). ETA for the Ducky YOTS is beginning of September.

the graphic on the spacebar looks like it's straight from the 80's :P

but I would like the aluminum version, it would be nice to have something different
