Yes. I could tell the difference when switching to a VG248qe 144hz monitor.

It is impossible to see it through a picture or video.

Ever since i started using my 144hz monitor, i get headache when looking at poor 30hz monitors at school xD

The image is trying to express a difference between framerates in a motionless frame. SOME of it HAS to be made up ^^ although it is true that if you move an image on a 60hz monitor, it will be more blurry than on a 144hz one. But it won't be THAT noticeable.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

that image is fake but there is a big difference between 60hz and 144hz

Would you take a 144hz tn 1920x1080 monitor or a 60hz ips 2560x1080 monitor for gaming?

Is there a difference? Yes. Is there that much of a difference? No. That image is exaggerated for both marketing reasons and to get the basic point across(because its hard to demonstrate motion in a still image).

Hard one, in first person shooters i prefer the 144hz tn, in RPG's like skyrim or MMO's like guild wars and WoW i prefer the IPS panels. Although there is nothing wrong with the 144hz tn.

Can't wait for 144hz ips panels to become cheaper :/

144hz because i play FPS games such as CSGO

But wouldnt you like to have a wider fov? For me im not such a pro gamer and am happy with 60fps but if I take the ultra wide monitor I would loose like 30-50fps for a wider fov, if I take the 144hz monitor I would get a smoother gameplay but not so wide fov. I really dont know what to do. And my rig isnt able to get those 144fps, maybe 90

There is no limit in tech :)))) im just hoping for 144hz ips panels to come out. But when they do there is a 99,9 % chance they'll cost a fortune. So then there is the wait for cheaper ones :)

Yes youre right, but currently there arent any 60+hz ips panels available. I want to wait for the asus rog swift to come down from those 750eur in my country lol...but I cant so im settling for a more traditional monitor :P

I can easily recommend the ASUS VG248qe 144hz monitor. This is seriously a good investment if you have a gaming pc that can output more then 60fps. It is also g-sync compatible.

Took a look at it but its too expensive and I dont have a gsync compatible gpu. Im buying the benq xl2411z and then compared it to some other 21:9 monitors with only 60hz but came to the conclusion that the benq is probablly better tho my system wont generate those 100+fps and im no pro gamer

In the netherlands , the xl2411z has the same price tag as the vg248qe.

Oh well, from reviews benq seems to be a reliable company. I cant tell since ive only used ASUS 's and iiyama's monitors.

Don't compare FPS in games and movies. Thats like comparing peers to apples.

I know, But the 60hz side has enough motion blur to look more like a camera took a picture of a car driving by too fast instead of a game being rendered.

In this context it makes sense.
