GPU Performance of console versus pc

How does Xbox one and ps4 achieve good performance in the games that a same priced laptop won't achieve is their any nvidia gpu or AMD gpu that is equivalent to Xbox one or ps4 gpu that I could use for my steam machine I'm making.

Laptops are portable and include a display, keyboard, and mouse as well, so they're more expensive to make. 

PS4 is comparable to a 750ti I believe, but for that price range I would recommend a R9 270(x).

You also need to remember that games are targeted for specific platforms.

Simple, don't compare them. Whatever way you could compare them there will always be a winner on either side. Yes a console can "achieve performance" but it is more about how the game feels than the performance you are getting. What you are doing is pretty much comparing a kettle to a toaster, they both achieve what they are meant to be doing but which one do you prefer?
