I was wondering what the difference between the EVGA 1000G1 and the EVGA 1000G2 are?

The price is about $20 difference and I was wondering if the 1000G2 is worth extra cash

The G2 has more connectors, longer cables and better internals, as far as I can make out from EVGA's own website.

The G2 has a 10 year warranty. The G1 has a 5 year warranty.

They are both made by Superflower.

If you are not bothered about the extra warranty, then go with the G1.

Actually the 1000w G1 is FSP. It's seems to look somewhat identical to the Aurum Pro design.

G2 is higher quality

The G1 was superseded by the G2. The G2 is a better unit but the G1 isn't exactly chopped liver either. Still, I'd spend the extra $20 and get the G2.

Sir William of Orange: Corsair 230T - Rebel Orange, 4690K, GA-97X SOC, 16gb Dom Plats 1866C9,  2 MX100 256gb, Seagate 2tb Desktop, EVGA Supernova 750-G2, Be Quiet! Dark Rock 3, DK 9008 keyboard, Pioneer BR drive. Yeah, on board graphics - deal with it!

Realhardtechx have it listed as a Superflower unit. I guess they could be wrong though, and I don't have any knowledge on that particular model.

This other link suggests it is a custom Platform, and possibly a Superflower.

Yeah, I know, but EVGA_JacobF had verified it to be FSP a while back on OCN. http://www.overclock.net/t/1395708/evga-power-supplies-information-thread/430#post_21976006

Go with the G2 as it is a Superflower.

The G1 has been confirmed as an FSP based unit (See the link from @quan289)
