When will this newegg package arrive?

My friend ordered new PC parts including a case on the 26th or 27th of december. He picked 3 day shipping and it still hasn't arrived. I know that it wasn't touched on wednesday or thursday. We live in Omaha, Ne, and at 11:30 today it left Des Moines, Iowa. That is just over 2 1/2 hrs away so he is hoping that it will be here today. UPS is shipping but not necessarily delivering(they might though), and some of the time they will give it to the postal service to deliver which is what they have done for me when they deliver to my house. Just need a little insight on this topic, any help would be appreciated!

I think no one can say this but if they deliver on saturday it might but it could be monday or wednesday just keep calm and wait.

UPS doesn't deliver on Saturday, but i know the USPS does. He keeps bugging me to post on the forum about it.

UPS is still essentially in Holiday Mode. Expect delays. Sign up for tracking notifications, and you'll get emails or SMS texts as the package makes progress. You're likely going to get it delivered today or on Monday. UPS usually doesn't deliver on weekends.

uh... good luck with that. It's holiday season. Newegg has no control over the normal expected delays during Christmas and New Years for any courier company.

Wednesday and Thursday were considered holidays, thus not part of the "3 day shipping".  Not neweggs fault.

 

Package will be here either Friday or Monday.

It's probably still gonna be delivered on Monday. It still needs to go to the local sorting facility, sorted, and then maybe it might get delivered this evening. Though odds are it'll be Monday.

I would like to give a little info as I normally deal with Newegg shipping, and work in a similar field shipping items. Please note that not all companies follow this same method that I am describing. Though it does seem to apply to Newegg from my experience.

 

When you place an order with Newegg (or any other company), it takes some time for them (the company) to process the order then ship. The day the device is shipped will usually indicate when your order will arrive. So if you placed an order on Monday, it takes the company Tuesday to process, then ship the package on Wednesday, your 3-day shipping would begin on Wednesday. From this timeline we would expect to receive the package Friday/Saturday depending on the destination.

 

I would just check when the device was shipped as Newegg will send you an email with the Shipment confirmation shortly after your order.

 

However as others have mentioned due to the holiday season it may take a few extras days to receive the package.
