Wireless suround speaker set?

Go to solution Solved by Napper198,

Hu guys,

Is there such a thing as a wireless suround speaker set for my home theater. Right now I have an old set and the wires are as ugly as it can get. Howeveer I am going to be moving and I want to leav this one behind and wanto switch to a wireless one. The goal is 7.1 but anything above is fine as well.

I found 1 7.1 but that is small (on table) and 5.1 isn't good.

You're gonna have at least one cable running to your speakers anyway, but I'll give you some possible solutions:

1: Sonos Home Theater Bundle: ridiculously expensive, but you only need power for each individual speaker.

2: Wireless Bridge with Amplifier: this is what most AIO systems used, when they were around. If you decide to go this way you should spend at least 200$ to get something decent.

3. Simple Audio transceiver: cheap in price and maximum component freedom, but probably crappy quality + you need to buy an extra stereo amp

4. Flat Cable: Cheap, no quality degradation and you can run them below your floor cover so you don't see them.

I think they have wireless subs, but I'm not entirely sure if they have complete 7.1 surround setups. I was wondering if there are wireless 7.1 setups as well, and if there's any issues with the quality of the audio.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

wireless are generally a low budget audio gear (HTIB) as wireless from time to time get interference due to the 2.4ghz frequency used for the wireless surround speakers. dont believe their is any 7.1 set of wireless speaker system

CD Transport: Oppo 105 > RCA: Morrow MA1 / HDMI > Processor: Primare SP33 > RCA: Morrow MA1 > Amplifier: Elektra Theatron 7 > Speaker Cables: Neotech > Speakers: Monitor Audio RS8

There are wireless surrounds. I have not seen a home setup with wireless speakers all around, but you can theoretically build one using a multichannel mic transmitter (most such devices are narrow band though, so you won't get good quality).

thanks for the answer this is very helpful but not helpful at the same time. Those converters are ok but not close to beeing good enought the sonos is too expensive and not even 7.1. I guess that I'll stivk with the cables for now.
