GTA IV PC multiplayer not working

Hi,

So since I bought GTA IV, the multiplayer has not been working. I can go on the phone, and get into a lobby fine, it's when I actually go into the game it doesn't work. It shows the pier near Niko and Roman's house, but stays there forever, and if I press esc to pause, it goes back to singleplayer.

 

Any help appreciated.

 

P.S. My GFWL is online, yes.
