Cpu cooler heatpipe contents?

Go to solution Solved by dragoon20005,

Hello friends. I could of weeks ago I was with a friend who for some reason decided to cut open a heat pipe on a rocketfish universal cpu cooler upwind of me by about a foot. I'm trying to find out if the gas in this heatpipe was toxic and if its in a high enough concentration for me to worry about after being exposed. I've been trying to find out whats in these heatpipes with no luck from the internet so far. Also as i stated this was about 2 weeks ago. My thoughts are that if this was toxic I would have been experiencing problems a week ago but I would love to hear what you guys think.

the contents is made of sinter copper powder

sometimes there is also a wicking substance, but the water is in a vaccum so that the liquid water will turn to vapor easily at the hot end end, then immediately water condenses at the cold end due to the increased pressure, to return the pressure to where it was. it serves to almost immediately transfer heat across the length of the pipe.

i know that it isn't toxic enough to worry about, its probably some sort of easily heated fluid

it's just water vapor and some liquid water.
