Hmm, getting H220?

Go to solution Solved by Tony N,

In terms of compatibility i have no clue but i can answer the rest of your questions.

  • Push Pull on radiators give little performance gains (ie 1*-2*c). Especially considering the H220 had such low FPI (fins per inch). I have 2 SP120s PE @ 7v on my H220 and get good temps
  • SPs are for rads
  • H220 requires no maintenance for three years, dust control is easy if fans are in pull because you don't have to take anything off the rad

Here are the rad dimensions to measure for clearance.

I'm looking at the Swiftech H220 for my CM Storm Scout 2, I currently have a stock cooler.

How would the performance be with 4 Corsair fans on it? Would I need AF Series or SP Series?

Plus, would I need to take out out every once in a while for maintenance to clean it? Sorry, complete noob.

You'll need the SP series (static pressure). AF series (airflow) is for intake and exhaust.

And yes, you'll need to clean out the radiator once in a while. A few months here and there, or smaller intervals if you please.

Check if you can fit the radiator in push/pull first. Most ATX cases cannot support this without modification.

Yah um just go for two fans in pull and you will be good. The only thing you really need to do maintenance wise is blow some compressed air through it every one to two months and thats about it.

Wonderful, I don't think I could put 4 fans on this though! I think I could only fit 2.

Good to know that it requires no maintenance for three years.

run them in pull (on top of the rad) so you dont have to take the fans off the clean the rad.
