Corrupt video on SD Card

Go to solution Solved by Aniallation,

I recently bought a external SD Card for my phone and yesterday was New Years Eve and i recorded a couple of awesome videos and when I went to view them an hour after I filmed it i tap the video icon and a message pops up saying "sorry this video cannot be played". Then I recorded another video just to see if it will corrupt that video and indeed it did. Can someone for the love of God please tell me how I can recover or fix the corrupt files???

Are the files playable on the computer?

Could be the card. Backup the card and reformat it or try a new card. or maybe try playing it in another player

So i back up the card and then reformat it? Will that fix my corrupt files?

No they aren't. Turns out my SD Card got corrupt. When I recorded a video and saved it to my internal storage it didn't get corrupt.
