Steam randomly disconnects while downloading.

I know this isn't directly computer related but I can't seem to find the solution to my problem. Ever since a couple months ago my Steam will randomly stop downloading whatever it is downloading and my internet completely cuts off and it eventually gets itself back up, this is incredibly annoying because is lengthens my download time, and causes me to not be able to use my PC properly while downloading games like I used to be able to. I am on a wired connection, and all my drivers are up to date.

Check in the Steam's option from where you download thing.

What setting should it be at?

It is set to the nearest location to me (Miami, FL) are you suggestion I change it to something further?
