I have been looking all over the place for a case that perfectly fits my needs. I just took a llok at the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe and it seems to be exactly what I need. My only issue is that the front panel of the case seems to be obstructing air intake. Can someone who owns this case clarify if this is true or not?

Thanks in advance!

Ot wont make that big of a difference.

You can take off the front blocking thing, so its the mesh stuff. Doesnt look as good, but still looks fine, you can take off just the blocking sqqaure

It's good, it has all the vents around the main panel. You could also save and get the Enthoo Pro if you don't need the lighting on the Luxe. Both cases have the same internal layout.

i own it. it doesn't obstruct air flow. but when dust gathers behind it, it will be a pain to clean as you need to take the front panel off to unscrew it. minor problem for such a great case.

If you read the same things as others and say the same things they say, then you're perceived as intelligent.

I'm a bit more radical... Woz

I do own that case, it is actually perfectly adequate for airflow. Got a 980 and 4690K in there OCed and they never run hot, can easily put another GPU in there.

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

The Enthoo Luxe actually has slightly more room above the motherboard for thicker rads or push-pull setups. That's why it has raised roof if you look closely.

CPU: i7 3770K | MB: EVGA Z77 FTW | RAM: HyperX Savage 2400Mhz 16GB | GPU: R9 280X Toxic | Cooler: Scythe Fuma | PSU: CoolerMaster B600

SSD: Crucial MX300 525GB | HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB - Toshiba DT01ACA300 3TB

Just look at the top, difference is obvious. And look at other pictures at their site. These are pictures from their website.

Eyeballing dimensions can be very deceiving. According to the reviews on benchmarkreviews.com top clearance till the motherboard is 65mm in the Enthoo Pro and 70mm in the Enthoo Luxe. 5 extra mm is hardly worth $50 extra for the Luxe.

Yes, but you can put fans on the outer side of the frame of the Luxe (above the metal, beneath the plastic) so it sort of has more room above the MB, and don't forget LEDs they add to the cost.

In this case fan is on the inside, but it can be mounted above without hitting the top panel.

I see, thanks I didn't know that. Don't really find it worth it still but I guess the bigger top rad allowance is nice. The LED's are just a gimmick IMO.
