Considering at one time they were making the fastest consumer grade cpus even when intel bought a newer generation out (AMD DX-40 was (is in my case-I have both still) faster than the Intel 486 (until the 66MHz version was made))

good ol´ times.

Here is one of the configs I found (older FM2 cpus work in FM2+ sockets btw-adding more configs as I find them):

CPU -- AMD A10-Series APU A10-6790K   Priced @ $100.97- $129.99 USD

Motherboard -- MSI A58M-E33 M-ATX Motherboard    Priced @ $61.52-$95 AUD

Note that any FM2/2+ cpu will in most cases be slower than an FX 6350, but the platform will give you the option to upgrade.

sounds nice :) but the problem here is that there is hardly no MSI mobos in Korea. Maybe asrock or gigabyte ones?

Sure, there isn't that much out there that could be bought on your budget unfortunately though, especially if you want your computer still be good in the future.

ahh that's a pain. I might have to increase my budget to a little over 200 bucks. actually I could crank up my budget up to 400 bucks anyways. #yolo xD

So If I crank up my budget to that high, what can be some good choices for my second build? i've got most of components lying around somewhere in my house, so yeah.. I will need a hard drive, mobo and cpu and anything else will be there already lol

The Asrock FM2A75M Pro4+, seems to be a good balance of features and value. For Gigabyte this one looks good too -- Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H

The system is being used for my personal uses, with some office works and mild gaming. As I heard from one seller who is trying to sell a spare 7790, 7790 is available to crossfire and my original card also came w/ a crossfire bridge with an available slot on the card itself. Apparently, he told me that a 7790 can crossfire with another 7790, a R7 260 or 260X.

I already knew that ram coolers are silly, but they are just for looks. But here, it seems like what you are thinking about ram cooler is a little different to what I am thinking. The one that I was thinking of getting is from Arctic Cooling, and well it's plain better to google them up I guess. It's called "Arctic RC Pro".

anyways, I am living in Korea, and try to ship everything to Korea. As for budget, I'm thinking of spending up to 150 bucks. The seller is offering his 7790 for about 80 bucks (USD).

My bad--that was a typo. I meant to type 'worth' instead of 'working'. The 7790 isn't worth cf'ing*

That ram cooler is just silly and would likely get in the way of some decent cpu coolers. I would postpone that for later if you still want it.

So you're fine with shopping from any US shop?

It's alright. but i guess you misread the original post. I am currently using a AIO liquid cooler, and as I;m living in Korea, there is a very narrow market around. So not the US please :)

I didn't misread. Ram can move between systems and having such a large aftermarket heatsink is impractical. I suggested updowngrading the heatsink later in case you end up changing your mind.

I thought you mentioned that you were planning to ship to Korea?

Umm... So I'm living in Korea, and it is just pain in the a** to ship something from the US to Korea. So unless you could suggest any american online malls that ships items abroad, It is almost impossible to compare US market to korean one. I got what you meant with heatsink, thanks for that :)

Well now it seems like cross firing my current card isn't the best option. So I was surfing internet for any beneficial upgrades I could take in this season. And, I came up with an idea of having my case upgraded from CM Silencio that I've got now to a big tower one for optimum cooling in rising summer. (a bit more practical future-proofing :)) anyways.. So, as most people don't feel GPU upgrade is actually necessary unless I upgrade other parts as well, which company/case models would you recommend? I know this topic changed kinda rapidly, but I guess case upgrade is the most practical upgrade I can see now.

I have been looking around some chassis, such as corsair (ended up being TOO expensive), cooler master (some are quite good actually :P) and Fractal design (also was WAY TOO expensive). Do you feel a solid, good case is a must for the future?

Can you link us to where you're shopping?

Just upgrading the graphics card doesn't seem to be a bad idea--I don't see other members saying otherwise.

Bigger cases tend to be worse for cooling than better due to more distance air has to travel before it is full cycled. Getting a bigger case is probably less practical than more.

Okay.... it's almost impossible to understand Korean letters for you I guess..... so I think the best way is to get me a list of budget gaming GPU's which is selling in the US or Canada, and I can probably match that product with the one in Korean mall. Well, I will just leave a link hoping the google translate can translate (hehe) but as far as I tried, it didn't translate half of the site :P kinda stupid website..... http://www.danawa.com/

<EDIT>

I found out amazon.com does support international shipping in 9 to 12 business days to Korea. Guess it is actually possible trying to find items in Amazon.com. The maximum budget I have is 170 bucks for now :) gotta save some up for another huge upgrade this summer :)

The site doesn't use dollars. What's your actual budget?

Yes, it should support mantle. The 270/270x are just a 7870 rebrand anyway.
