Thermal Paste Question

If I have it on both my CPU and Heatsink/Fan (Pics bellow to show what I mean)

Do I have to reapply the Paste to make sure it has a conductivity?

You should clean the paste off both surfaces before reinstalling.

You dont have to replace it regularly, but if you must reinstall it you need to clean it with rubbing alcohol or some sorts until its clean and reapply again.

But don't forget to put some new paste on!  Put a bit of paste the size of an uncooked ricegrain on one of the surfaces, preferably the CPU.

When I said "reinstalling" I meant reapplying thermal paste.

If its hardened, you need to get it off and apply new paste.

It's making me wash my hands, so yea it's not hardened yet.

I knew that, however I do not know how far OP's knowledge goes when it comes to installing CPU's. I just wanted to be sure.
