Alright so my friend is having this "problem" with a computer I recently helped him build. He took a video and shows what is wrong with it so that will probably be more effective than me typing about. Thanks for any help.

Yeah he does not have an OS installed, but he thinks its some huge problem and wont listen to me. I think once he has an OS installed it will probably boot fine, and he is just overthinking it. When he tries to go into the bios on the ASUS screen, it wont let him. He has tried with a PS2 keyboard and a USB keyboard an no luck with either.

Hmmm it looks like it's detecting the keyboard so there shouldn't be a problem with entering the BIOS. Are you there with him or no?

Im trying to help him on skype, (which is the same way I helped him build the PC in the first place haha) But when he tries to go into the bios from hitting delete it doesnt pick it up and just moves on to the next screen.

I have the Z97-A motherboard and I had problems with USB over current when overclocking. I have heard stories of people having USB over current issues in games. Updating the bios fixes the issue. If you can get into the bios you may be able to update the bios off a USB drive however, it seems your Mobo is particularly bad and if it encounters a problem while updating you could be screwed.

Hit me up if you have any questions.

Have you tried clearing the CMOS?

If you've a broken Front USB, then disconnect that connection from Motherboard. It solved and worked fine while it happened on my system.

Alright so we have tried everything we know of (now that I am actually at his house helping him) and it still wont go. He brought it to someone and they said that he had shorted out the motherboard, but I would think that if the motherboard is shorted out that it would either not boot at all, or the computer would turn on, but not display anything (I have had this happen to me in the past) Any more help would be appreciated if you want to please contact me on skype at (live:therealjoboshow125) Yes even the live part. Thanks everyone! :D
