hey guys im just wondering if its possible to have to PC both connected by Wi-Fi, to be connected by lan as well. basically I have to pc's in the same room which I transfer data between constantly. both pc have windows 8 pro. And if it is possible a instructional guide would be great. thanks

Do you mean, have the 2 PCs connected via LAN cable to transfer data between the two, and have the wireless network for internet usage?

 

If so, then yeah  -_-

Just connect a LAN line and to the WiFi point and Win8 does the rest automatically.

What you want is a Homegroup. Here's a video. It will let your computers trade files easily.

yes, I have it setup atm, however the problem I'm having is the transfer speeds are the as it were on Wi-Fi is there something I have to do to increase the transfer speeds?

Why don't you just get an Ethernet Crossover cable and connect the 2 pc's together with that and use wi-fi as well.
