Upgrade time or should i wait?

so i have a good ol' GTX 580 with a custom cooler (prolimatech mk26) and it runs cool and fine for the games i play:

 

dayz

dota2

shadow of mordor (not at the highest quality)

farcry4 (not at the highest quality)

csgo

wow

d3

 

but im starting to wonder if im up for an upgrade, got some extra cash laying around and id like to get suggestions from the experts, should i update to something newer like a 770? or just wait out for the 970 to go down more? or maybe just stick with the current card since it can play everything i need, shut up the little voice in my head asking me to spend money?

If you're happy with it, there's no need to upgrade. Wait until you are not satisfied.

i am happy with it, won it on a raffle so yeah... i shall always love that card.

got 2 ssds actually so i'm good at that end

definitely skip the 770. was never worth the money (unless you won the silicon lottery). I would wait for the 20nm cards from both Red and Green to start popping onto the market over the next 4-8 months.

that is a reasonable timeframe for me to wait and keep my head quiet.
