Hi,

I am looking to build a custom loop for my PC, and while looking at reservoirs, I always thought that the top port was an intake only. However, this doesn't make any sense to me when I am planning out the tubing for my build, as the loop would work in reverse. Am I missing something, or do I have to go in and out through the bottom ports (on EK 250 res).

THanks in advance

The top port is only meant for filling the loop.

Can you do that? I wouldn't really help as I would still have to route the and of the loop from the bottom to the top - it is just switching the tubing around

Um what are you trying to do? Because fighting gravity is usually not a good idea.

You switch so the top becomes the bottom and you can route from that port to your pump and come back later on the top (which now have multiple port options) but Im using the multiport top from ek this way.

Not sure I'd recommend turning the res+pump combo upside down. Unless your loop is completely full to the brim there's a chance of air getting into the pump, which is exactly what you'd want to avoid. The top port on the res is intended to be an intake only.
