Realtek audio problems

Hi just build my first computer but when i play games like Far Cry 4 or League of Legends the audio will crackle and the fps drastically drops making the games unplayable. I think it has something to do with the realtek audio that came with my motherboard but not sure how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.  

 

specs:  motherboard: gigabyte GA-Z97X-GAMING 3 

 

cpu: intel i5-4570 3.20GHz 

 

gpu: radeon R9 280 

 

powersupply: corrsair CX500 

 

ram: Kingston HyperX FURY 8GBDDR3 

 

hard drive: WD blue 1TB

Are you running the latest drivers from your motherboard website? If you are then check the Realtek website.

Where did you get the audio drivers from?

How do i actually install the driver it downloaded as a folder with a bunch of files in it

Generally speaking when it comes to drivers the file you need to run is called "setup" or "setup.exe"

 

I installed the driver from the link and it uninstalled the old driver but now says high definition  audio device instead of realtek audio

Aaaaand I completely forgot that the realtek driver did that, D'oh!

To install the driver you need to run the setup again.

Did you install BOTH the realtek driver and the Creative SB X-Fi driver?

Yeah i installed both drivers but the audio still crackles and drops the fps
