A First For Me

Go to solution Solved by DXPERT,

Yeah that's what I thought too. Then ASRock it is then. Thanks for all the help  :D

Heyya guys! So I'm planning to build my first PC in about a month or two. I'm pretty much new to this so I hope you can bear with me  ;).
My PC will be mainly used for gaming and a little bit of video editing and have a Blue&White theme. I'd like to have your opinions if there some parts that I need to change and if there any better and cheaper options out there.

I5-4670k
Sapphire Vapor-X R9 280x

MSI Z87-G45
Corsair H100i
G.Skill Ripjaws X 16GB Blue

Western Digital 2TB Green

Corsair 120GB SSD
Corsair RM Series RM750
BitFenix Comrade Window

All tips are greatly appreciated  :D

It's hard having limited resources :(

Can you give us a budget and your location, please?

I'm from the Philippines. My budget is 70,000 PHP or around 1,600 USD

I am assuming, due to import taxes and stuff, the conversion is a little tricky.

The parts you listed in your first post, what do they equal to in PHP for you? I assume they are about your budget?

ok, how about this. I hope it still fits your budget. ;)

Upgraded the cpu to the i7, you still get the dragons :D, threw a 970 in there because of that great value/money. Also I went with a little bit sleaker case, and a psu that isnt totally overkill. If you plan on getting a second gpu in the future the RM650 would be a good alternative

Quick question guys. Do you have any suggestions that could compete with the GeForce 970 on AMD's R9 series?

290X, but it need more power and produces more heat. Not a bad card though ;)

out of the 970's, which one would you guys recommend as the best "Bang for the Buck"? Because for the time being(And I hope ONLY for the time being) the EVGA GTX 970 isn't available here.

Palit GTX 970 JETSTREAM, its probably the quietest and most reliable, but in terms of FPS they will all be the same.

Do you have any good alternatives for the Motherboard coming from Asus/ASRock/Gigabyte? Because the Z97's from MSI ran out of stock here because of the holidays.

Check newest Linues' video, they have good value boards there.

BTW Zotac amp! series cards are good but if I'd take Zotac I'd go with extreme edition, oh and Palit is good too

Alright, I guess I'll go check on their video. But before that, would you suggest the ASRock Z97 Anniversary ATX Motherboard? How about the ASRock Z97 Extreme4 ATX Motherboard? Which do you think would be the best over-all in performance and money wise?

those are all good alternatives, but the asrock one would probably fit the blue/white color scheme best.
