Two pin fans cannot monitor the RPMs.

but where do you plug it in? XD the header is so odd...does it fit in a normal 3 pin?

Yes. It'll work in a 3/4 pin header.

Most likely it came from a power supply. The fans in power supplies, when they aren't soldered in, use that type of connector.

I just checked my really old nVidia GPU an it has one of those on the fan.

So it's a really old fan header for a graphics card of something else.

i dont think any GPU uses a 120mm fan tho XD

Oh haha, well point is, it's really old.

Can't transfer any info to the mobo or anything since it just has the power connectors.

yeah, like i said my uncle gave it to me and he has been doing tech stuff for awhile so i had no clue, he didn't even remember what it was for.

There are 80mm desktop fans though. And they are on many video cards.

i think i have a stack of 80mm fans. They are super thick and sound like jet turbines. They also function as an air conditioner.
