Hey guys and gals, I am in desperate need of a future proof computer. I am currently planning on building this ( http://pcpartpicker.com/user/monjanger/saved/cNMmP6 ) It although may be powerful, but it doesn't have the newest of the new. I am looking for a X99 build that's future proof and will last a while with minimal upgrades. Budget of $2400 and will push it to $2500 in some cases but I will not go over that! Try to keep it lower and the lower the better. Oh and one last thing I wanna keep it color coordinated

Well you want black eh? Change the mobo to a maximus vii formula. $50 more, but the features are sweet and it looks awesome.

Check a review on it, you will be stunned.

Also, get a 240 GB ssd for  $100 and a 4 TB HDD, doesent cost that much in price:storage. Or, get two 1 TB WD blacks and run em in RAID 0

Lets all ripperoni in pepperoni

Edit: If we can keep this at about $2000 I can afford a Cordair K70 and M65

In my opinion with that budget I'd rather go X99, if not most of the parts if you are just using it for gaming I'd switch out a few things.

I7 4790K • Corsair H110 • MSI Z97 SLI Krait Edition • Kingston Fury Hyper X (White)(16GB)(1866Mhz) • Crucial MX 100 512 GB • Seagate Barracuda 1TB • Phantek Enthoo Pro • EVGA G2 750 Watt

Asus DRW Optical Drive • TP Link Wifi Adapter • Asus MX279H • CM Devastator Bundle (Blue) • Bitfenix Spectre Pro (White) • Windows 8.1

This is what I suggest. One thing to remember though, no set of parts no matter your budget will ever be future proof. With your budget you will be able to run top tier games for longer then other systems however there will come a time that you will need to start upgrading. I was able to get the price down to around $2200. That will give you at least $200 to get a good keyboard and mouse.
