ram frequency

This is my first ever build, and i need a bit of help. My ram is 1600mhz and my mobo (msi h81m-e33) is capable of supporting this speed as well. Currently at the moment it is only running at 1333mhz though. I saw this on my bios and I went to OC settings, and it says that you can only raise the frequency to 1400mhz!?!? Any suggestions?
