Note: if this is in the wrong section please let me know.

so in my Corsair Spec 01 there are two places (top and front) to mount a 240mm radiator. Unfortunately, i cant use the top mount due to ram clearance. so that leaves the front. But wait! in order to put one in the front I must remove the HDD cage. Its not hard, just four screws. But then if i dont have a cage then mounting hdds is kinda tricky...

so can i just leave it sitting in the bottom of my case? I could easily cut up some soft foam and tape it on to that. or could i put it in the back with the cables?

thanks for the help,

-Milo

What kind of foam do you have and what drives are you mounting/'putting'?

im not 100% sure as its my dads, he uses it for his model trains. its about 5mm thick, nice and squidgy... uhh.. thats what i know...

Can you post some pics of the RAM issue?

i dont actually have the rad yet but i saw an OC3D review that showed that only low profile RAM works with the rad and fans installed

Yeah, it wouldn't fit. Ripjaws are 40mm tall.

i'm so sorry, but im newish here :/ how do you post a picture in a reply? and my HDD is a "1TB Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 3.5" SATA III Hard Drive"

You can upload a picture to imgur, gyazo, etc. and link them like this:

or you can use the Full Editor to upload images.

I suggest sticking to the first method to put less of a load on the forum.
