I have a Galaxy S4 running on 4.4.4 and as many of you know, you can't write to sd after the 4.4 update. This is annoying as I have a 64gb sd card and only a 16gb phone. Do I have to root to be able to write to my sd? If so , can anyone leave a link I can follow to root my phone? I have no idea how to do it. Thanks guys

Once you root, you can use this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nextapp.sdfix&hl=en

What model of S4 do you have(unlocked, AT&T, Verizon, Telus, etc)?

I have a rooted GS4 on 4.4.4. Before the root i didn't seem to have an issue writing to the sd. And after the root i have no issue. However if you still want to root you can use this tutorial. Keep in mind its for AT&T GS4. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-att/general/how-to-root-i337ucufnj4-4-4-4-11-13-2014-t2939553
