Monitor Red color flickering

Arunkrishna

Hello everyone!

From past two days I'm facing problem with my display. Red color is flickering randomly , images turns to greenish(Blue and green colors will be on) for a while and it becomes normal.
I tried connecting to on board VGA port, it's working fine. I even tried with laptop to ensure whether monitor is defective or not, but it's working good. Finally I replaced VGA cable ,but no luck. I've updated driver too ,but I didn't find any solution  . Temp of GPU is normally 35C(idle) to 60(game).

So is there any problem with my GPU??? I recently upgraded my rig.

Specs:
CPU: Intel core i3 4130
GPU: Asus Nvidia GeForce GT 730 2GB DDR3
Mobo: Biostar Hi-Fi B85S3+
RAM: Transcend DDR3 4GB 1600Mhz
HDD: Seagate 1TB
PSU : Corsair VS450
Monitor : Samsung Syncmaster 740N (17" 1280*1024 @75Hz)

Plz help me

Thank you :)

the problem is that the red pins on the VGA connection aren't exactly making great contact.

the solution? stop using a display interface from 1987 and use a digital interface like DVI/HDMI/DP

U mean , the problem is with GPU VGA port?? Coz i have replaced vga cable and tried the same. But problem still there.

Yeah i wish  but it's old 5:4 TFT monitor , got only vga port. I don't have money to replace one.

it could be a problem with the gpu vga port. If it happens again, just wiggle it a bit and see if that helps

Just now i tried it, but no change  :(.

To make sure it's gpu problem, while flickering I recorded on screen video and plugged vga cable to on-board port and played the same. But i didn't notice any color change in the video!!! So it's hopefully prob with gpu vga port but not gpu?? Am i right?? If so I'll get DVI to VGA port converter and I'll use.
