Hey guys,

I'm planning on building a new gaming PC. My budget is $NZ 800-1000 ( Which is ~$US 600-800). I've done some research and come up with this build:

CPU: Intel Core i3-4150 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor  ($165.00)
Motherboard: ASRock H97M Anniversary Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($125.00)
Memory: Crucial 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory  ($96.60)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  ($78.00)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Superclocked Video Card  ($239.00)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case  ($113.85)
Power Supply: Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  ($93.00)
Total: $910.45

I know this won't be able to run everything maxed, but would 60fps on medium/high at 1080p be a reasonable expectation?
This is my first build, so I'm sure there are some changes that could be made and I welcome any feedback and criticism.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Somehow I think an AMD A10-7850K might be a bit more beneficial (esp. if you get an R7 250 to go along side that APU) because I suspect there are quite a few games now that support mantle and running the A10 in dual graphics mode showed some improvment over just doing the on die GPU alone (can't remember the performance with the non dual graphics mode GPUs). Though Intel does have the benefit of having better per core performance either wise looks fine. Also yeah it probably can do about 60 fps on the medium settings.

Thanks for the reply. While I agree that the A10 + R7 250 combo would be good right now, especially considering the increasing use of mantle, would your idea not make upgrading difficult? Since you have to use an FM2+ motherboard and the fairly low end R7 250 with the APU, it would be expensive to upgrade either the CPU, GPU or Mobo because you would have to replace all of them.
