By upgrading i assume you mean either capacity or an SSD? In which case, just take the  new drive and install it into your laptop (most of the time there's a part on the back which gives you access to it, remove the old and insert the new). Then just install Windows from either a bootable USB or install disc and install windows onto the drive. 

 

EDIT: By upgrading, what exactly do you mean?
