Hey guys, so for the past few days I've been experiencing EMI. I've tried a few things and have finally found a fix, removing the screws from my PSU. That's the only thing that fixes it. I've used screws with rubber spacers and that also worked, but I don't have enough for all 4 screws, and I'm not sure if that's safe. In other words, if the PSU screws touch my case I hear a loud buzzing through my headphones. My case is an Enthoo Pro, and my PSU is a Rosewill Capstone 750-M. I also don't hear the buzzing if I use the front ports, but I can't use those because my headphone cord isn't long enough. Any help would be great.

Maybe vibrations?

No, it's a high pitched screeching noise. Not vibrations. It only happens when the screws to the PSU touch the case.

I think it might be a ground loop issue, I'm not very familiar with this but from what I've hear it's a fairly difficult thing to fix.

That's what I was thinking. Right now I've got electrical tape between the case and the screws, however this cannot be a permanent solution. If anyone else knows anything, I'd be pleased to hear it.

I would first check to see if you have proper grounding first for your wall sockets improper grounding can cause issues, but other than that this is beyond my knowledge.

The power strip I'm using says it's grounded, not sure if it's telling the truth. I've tried without the power strip and is still there. Just gonna have to deal with it I guess. Need to invest in some black electrical tape xD.

Guess that's one way of doing it :D , I don't see it being a problem with electrical tape just not sure what would be a more technical solution though.
