Case:Corsair 600T White Graphite

Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K

Graphics: Asus GTX 970

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x4

The problem is that the rear panels ,nothing boots. but the Video Card, CPU Fan, Fans, Optical Drive all seem to work. Therefore I can't even use my monitor or any peripherals.  The computer seems to stay on, it's just that I can't get any power through USB ports or the DVI connected to the video card, even though the Video card is running.

Take out your RAM. Put one stick in, test it and if that doesn't work, switch to the other DIMM and try again.

Make sure that you have plugged in the 8pin CPU power in the top-left. Also the power going to your 970.

Also troubleshooting your RAM might be a good step.

Good luck buddy

Is the  8pin CPU power cord the one that also plugs into my graphics card?

I see how my power supply has a 6+2 PCI-E & 4+4 CPU input, right now i have a 8 going into the EATX v12 then going down to the graphics card. Not sure if thats correct. But still the rear panel doesnt power,i believe that is related to the CPU power

that not the correct plug!!!

the twin 4pin 12v plugs are for the mobo!!!

you should be looking for a 6+2 pin labeled PCI-E

Please don't tell me you powered the system on like that...

You guys arent getting the point. The GPU is plugged in fine, its the I/O panel that isnt working.

How are you plugging the video cable in? Through the board or the graphics card? Did you try out my idea?

Ah, I thought it would be a wiring issue, it appears I was correct.

Look up some tutorials online for the correct cables to components, and then you should have a functional system. Unless you overpowered something and destroyed it.

Remember, 24pin on the side of the mobo., 8pin (usually) at the top-left for the CPU, and 6+2pin for the GPU.

Hope it works!

@mhzq If you have the budget, I'd upgrade your GPU.
