Hello, I've been looking for a new phone for a long time. Last week I went after LG G3 and bought it, but due to some problems (overheating and battery life) decided to return it back to store so I`m where I was.

I`m a bit of a size queen so the bigger the display, the better. Battery life is also very important since I use the phone all the time. My price range is 400-450€. I use phone mainly for browsing internet, reading, IM, music and as general boredom killer.

OPO is out of picture for its lack of support, not supporting radio bands I need and general distrust with company.

The phones I`m looking into right now are Huawei Ascend Mate 7 and Sony Xperia Z2/Z3. All of them have some cons but I guess perfect phone wasn't made yet so...

Which would you choose and why or what else would you suggest ?

I'm sold on the Z2, I had to pick between the Z2 and Z3 but went with Z2 because let's face it, it's pretty much the same phone with 100$ slashed off the price tag. I love the sony UI it's why Im sold on the xperia but I have to admit, while It looks beautiful (IMO) it isn't as comfortable in the hand as a galaxy, I don't find it difficult to manage but I held a galaxy recently and it was remarkably light, it's also pretty easy to crack... well ok I am rough on my phones, I put mine in my back pocket and sit on it all the time and it bounces around all day without a case, so I have a crack on the back within a month or two of owning it, but I can forgive it's fragility for it's battery life, coming from a nexus 5 and having to conserve battery during my 12 hour work shifts and often having it die a few hours before I was off was horrible because my job is mostly just sitting around doing nothing for 12 hours so during that time I'm on my phone or using it for music, and it was a blessing to have my nexus' screen finally break to badly for it to be used because now I get 12 hours music playback and youtube videos with about 30-40% battery at the end of the day. Loved my Z1, Love my Z2 and when I break this phone I will love my Z3.

Why do you always die right after I fix you?

I`m basically in the same position as you are. 12 hour shifts with nothing to do besides time killing. I`m too leaning more towards Z2 than Z3, 100€+ price difference is too much for ergonomy and a few minor tweaks. I`m also surprised that no one touched on Ascend Mate 7, in my opinion it's great 6 inch phone with only con being its graphics and less updates. G3`s screen size came as not that impressive so I'm a bit worried that Z2 would be too small.

Note 4, Nexus 6 and iPhones are great phones but are way above my price range and M8, S5 are even smaller than Z2/Z3 although not by much.

Well a 4000mAh is ridiculous and honestly the Z2 isn't really that big, it's about the same size as the S5 but with sharp edges I personally wouldnt want bigger but to each there own, If I knew about the Mate 7 it might have been in my draft for a new phone except I genuinely hate stock android, sure sonys UI is very close to stock but It's just more pollished. Unfortunately the Sony UI has the Facebook App as bloatware and with it installed it can eat about 30% of your battery a day so I had to disable it.

Why do you always die right after I fix you?

Reviews say it is pretty good. Yes it is a little below average in size (2600mAH) it supposedly uses it pretty efficiently.

It barely lasts me through a day, so it's definitely a noticeable bit worse then other phones such as the OnePlus One.
