So I want to upgrade my pc.

The main thing I do with my pc are gaming, editing and rendering.

My current specs:

Processor: AMD Phenom II x4 965

Graphic card: Sapphire HD 7850 2GB OC

Motherboard: Asus M4A77D

RAM: 8GB 800MHz

Should I just go for a whole New build or is upgrading one part enough to see a big chance.

The reason I'm asking this is Because I'm thinking of just upgrading everything except for the graphics card. Or just only buy a new card. Idk anymore..

Ah I see, but about the I5 4690k, isn't a 4790K much better for rendering?

Thanks :P

Yes is is because of the hyper-threading. Basically, i5 are great for gaming and small video editing etc.., i7 is great for gaming and higher tier video editing, photoshop, 3d modelling etc.

If you're going to render frequently (ahem @thekeemo) then get the best CPU you can afford as well as the best GPU for video rendering.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

I really should have gotten the 5960x and cancelled any notions of charity too late now

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.
