GPU Help!

So ive just bought and installed my AMD Fx 8320 and got a nice stable OC at 4.5 ghz, and I'm a very happy man. 
But i still have my old GTX 560 from years and years ago! and its really stopping my gaming performance, especially since i just got into battlefield 4! 

Ive got around £240 to spend on a new GPU, so i could have a pretty nice system overall, but my problem lies in my monitor and which GPU i pick! 

I was orginally going to buy an AMD r9 290, as its a great performing card, and just in my perfect price range.

But it only has DVi-D outputs on it! 
And my current monitor only supports that crappy blue wire that we like to call VGA 

Now Digital and analogue dont mix, so that throws out my R9 290 quite quickly! 

So what i need some help with is this 

What graphics card can i buy for £240~~~~$340 that will support my VGA monitor through DVi-I or DVI - A as i know you can get adapters for them!

The R9 290 comes with a DVI to VGA adapter...lol... I think EVERY card does =).

 

Edit:  I guess I am wrong.  It doesn't.  I have 4-5 of those adapters lying around...somewhere.

 

I have a 4-5 year old LG as a second monitor... 22'', 1680x1050.  I have it connected VGA to my R9 280's HDMI.  It works fine.  The cable cost me $10.

 

Edit..again:  I just looked.  I connected the monitor to it's DVI, not the VGA.  The adapters will work still.

The R9 290, You just need a adapter.

The R9 290 comes with a DVI to VGA adapter...lol... I think EVERY card does =).

old cards does not have them, because most of them already has VGA

I think its time to upgrade to HDMI age buddy, i wont complain yes i do have VGA monitor but will soon upgrade for ease of upgrade. And yes Most modern cards have DVI to VGA adapter

This would eat a massive chunk into my upgrade cash, ive saved up the 240 just for this upgrade and it would take me considerably longer to get a new monitor. so this isnt a possibility!

All i want to buy is a Graphics card similar to the R9 290 perfourmance, with VGA Support through adapter, and at my £240 which really cannot budge!

I dont think your understanding the problem... 

Their is no such thing as a DVi- D to VGA Adapter

You cannot use an adapter like this for DVI - D to VGA. 

 

The R9 290 has 2 DVI- D ports 1 Display Port and 1 HDMI Port
