Need Help with graphics Card

Go to solution Solved by ImBleu,

Ok! also to quote the 8 pin one says "CPU" ... does that matter?

This is how you should plug it in:

20+4 pin into the ATX power

8 (4+4) pin CPU into the CPU power (top left of most boards)

4+4 pin & 6+2 (or 2x 6+2) (whichever) into the GPU.

They don't matter at all, if it fits it works, just they generally make the CPU one long enough to get to the motherboard power, while making the other ones shorter to reach the GPUs instead. As long as they all fit it's alright.

So I am building right now my desktop and have stumble a problem ,

I don't know which cable/s go into the graphics card I have a gigabyte gtx 970 g1 and it has (sorry for saying the thing like this) 8 little holes and 6 litle holes .(probably 8 pin and 6 pin) I have an 8 Pin cable ,

I don't have a 6 pin cable ,but I have a weird cable that seperates into 2 2pin and 2 3 pins... Please help me! Thank you!

the 2x 2pin and 2x3pins work as 4pins / 6 pin cables.

Plug the 8pin in to the 970, and the 2x3pin into the 6pin holes. It's only seperated like that if its for an older system that doesn't need the full 6 pins, etc.

That 4+4pin plugs into the motherboard and is for the cpu.

The 2+6pin that you were referring to are the 8pins for your graphics card.
