Tjunction is 105 C if memory serves, but running above 80*C will shorten the lifetime of the CPU. Entropy is a spiteful bitch. One wrong moment of a voltage spike and a spot heat of 93C colliding can result in a vaporized transistor in an instant. On Haswell you can have a spot heat that high even though the average of a single core could be only 82. This is also the reason OCers say to use static voltage mode when running stress tests. You can and most likely will cause damage to your CPU if you don't follow those recommendations.
