Which card?

Viico

I am currently in need of a maaajor upgrade from my gtx 550ti, and the gtx 970's have been my top choice so far. I personally like these two models so far:

http://www.galaxstore.net/product-p/97nqh6dnd2tx.htm

Currently 40 dollars off with free shipping.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125684

10 dollars off.

Is the extra $80 worth it for the Hof? I'd also have interest in other 970's if you have a suggestion. I honestly don't know, so any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Gigabyte.

I would look into Zotac as they are good also

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life

Thank you!

Unless you got a white themed build, go for Gigabyte. Take a look at ASUS strix to.

If you can afford the HOF you will not be disappointed. The quality and support is second to none.

Extremely good OC out of the box, quality components, quality build.

Not a lot of people have them because the 970 HOF is only 10ish days old but do some googling on the 980 HOF for an indication of the quality (there are some reviews and write-ups) and you'll see why some drool over them :D

My Strix is amazing but if they where $40 off and available when I got my Strix I would've jumped on it.

That's the problem... I love the way the white will look with my build, as I am going to get a 760t white edition due to a friend recommendation. But 80 dollars more...

I am personally not a fan of the strix, and the EVGA has cooling misalignment so I have heard.

Good to know, I haven't really seen anyone with the 970 hof, so no reviews... I did however watch a video of someone with one, and he got stuck with coil whine for his 970 hof.

And the overclock button mode (I have no idea what it is called) sounds like a helicopter is taking off.

With the "misalignment", its not a misalignment it's a part of the design. Even though the 3rd heatpipe is not touching the GPU itself, it is touching the other heatpipes so it's only around 1 degree or 2 degrees hotter

It's not just temperature.

People say that the way it is made is almost the same as their gtx 760 SC. It apparently causes more noise, and less speed. How true that is I don't know.

Thank you for the suggestions everyone, I am currently leaning towards the gigabyte version as of now due to how popular it seems from this thread, and I am going to look at some of the zotac that were suggested.
