I feel like threads like these are people trying to flaunt their money and builds.. Why would a 4670k bottleneck two 970's? And why was your $2,000 budget relevant? I don't mean to sound offensive, but I see threads like this a lot on this board.

On this forum we make a point that the more details we have the better. Sometimes people take it a bit too far. I don't think people are trying to show off or be rude, but not everyone knows the right way to do things the first time round. It's not his fault.

i5 4670k with 2 MSI twin frozr 970's in sli. A 140mm nzxt kraken to OC the cpu to around 4ghz most of the time. My budget was $2000 and with all the other stuff that all goes to a red color scheme, but is my cpu bottlenecking my cards?

have you built this computer yet, just out of curiosity...

Don't worry, it's not going to bottleneck, you'll be fine.

I am relatively new here, so I'm not sure of the community norms. I was not trying to be offensive. Not in the least. More often than not I see people "I am running a 5960x and two Titan Blacks. I was curious if I can run Star Citizen at Ultra at 1440p?" and so.. with threads like those, I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth.

Watch this--it might help:

This belongs in the CPU, Motherboards, and Memory section. I'm moving the thread.
Please post in the correct sub-forum in the future

I know that feeling, and I don't blame you, but you have to understand that not a lot of people who come here just for help know nearly as much about computers as we do. That's why they come to us for help. I've seen more than  my fair share of people who come to us to clarify gaming capability of such hyperkill gaming systems that to us it often seems like a stupid question or, as you pointed out, boasting. But then we remember that more than likely said person just doesn't understand what monster they have created, and so it's our job to help them understand. It's one of the nice perks of this particular forum. other boards and forums would tear those people to shreds. Don't sweat it too much ;)
