Awkward BIOS...

DJ_Deedahx

Hey all,

I've had something weird going on in my BIOS for almost two years now. I'm using an ASUS K55N-DS81, with an Aptio Setup Utility version 2.15.1227 (version 217).

CPU: AMD A8-4500M

RAM: Samsung 1 x 4 GB DDR3-800

HDD: Hitachi Travelstar 500 GB 5400 RPM

OS: Windows 8.0 Core

I have User access level in the BIOS, but I need to turn Secure Boot off, and I'm unable to.

I would like some help at your earliest convenience.

Wipe the CMOS, then take out the button cell battery and put it back in. This will wipe all previous settings and, make you the admin.

Thanks for your help. :) Now where could I usually find this on my motherboard? I'm still a n00b at some things in laptops.

Thanks, but this page is old news to me. I've been fighting this problem since last year, apparently.

Any luck with it? Do more google searches, I'm sure there are new links to solutions since this problem first started.
