Hey Linus,
I got the pentium g3258 and I am overclocking it right now. I am 4.4 GHz stable with asrock z97 anniversary motherboard and I got a question about the voltage when Overclocking. I am at 1.27 V right now, with temperatures going up to about 70°C on full load.
Is there a way to set some kind of adaptive voltage when the CPU isn't running on full because I don't want it to run at higher voltage when it doesn't have to.
I am new to OC, so be kind pretty please

Thanks for the answer

Welcome to the forum!

If the voltage is adaptive, then that would mean the CPU's frequency won't always stay at that overclock, in your case 4.4Ghz.

for your mobo

make sure CPU OC Fixed Mode is off or disabled

and Intel SpeedStep Technology is enabled

ok, thanks

and one more question, is it worth it to OC the cache? So far I only OCed the core clock speed ? and if it is worth what voltage do you recommend?

dont touch the Cache speed

it will make your OC unstable
