Straightening out cables?

I always just unplug them, and dangle them down and let gravity do the work.

Yeah, pretty much just hold them up and let the cable spin it out until it stops. Oldest trick in the book.

you cut the wire about an inch from the dongle.

 

untangle the wire

 

and lastly resolder the cut connections.

 

works every time.

Will work for electronic components and parts

I heard the best method is to cut the cable, let it untangle, then get headphones. The sound improves from untangling the cable! It's magic.
