G-Sync upgrade?

I'm working on buying a new graphics card and monitor. For the GPU I'm going with either one of these two...

- Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1        http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NH5T1MS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

- EVGA 04G-2978-KR GeForce GTX 970 FTW 4GB            http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487077

I currently can't decide as I've heard the G1 from Gigabyte is quieter and has better OC, but EVGA has awesome support.

Anyways, my main problem is finding a monitor. It has been forever since I've purchased a monitor, and I'm really, really hoping to get something with G-sync. A friend of mine had this monitor...

He was then able to upgrade the chip to G-sync with a G-sync module sold by Nvidia. I can't find any of the modules, and I don't know if they are being sold anymore. I'm really hoping to get an awesome G-sync experience for under $400 (if that's possible).

This is primarily for gaming, so the most important thing to me in buying a monitor is to have no lag or as little as possible. I would love to have a monitor with 1440 or higher resolution someday, but that's probably not in the budget at this point.

So, are there still G-sync upgrade modules out there that I could buy OR Is there a decent monitor I can buy that comes with G-sync for under $400?

IMO paying slightly more for a G-Sync Monitor is safer and better than modding your own

AOC is the cheapest G-Sync equipped monitor

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Thanks Dragoon. idk, I'm starting to feel like waiting a year might be the best option. G-sync, higher res, and 144hz is all so enticing. It's just so expensive for me.
