Hello, I am trying to make a purple/black themed computer and my dad wont let me change my led color in my gigabyte g1 970 so I decided to go to water cooling so its more purple and looks better. I was wondering if it would be worth it or just go to a blue theme. 1 more question if it would be even efficient to do water cooling in a corsair air 540

Specs: Intel i7-4790k | Corsair H60 | Asrock Z97 Pro4 | 4x4g Corsair Vengeance | Gigabyte g1 970 | Sandisk u110 128GB SSD | 1TB Toshiba Hard Drive | Corsair RM750 | Corsair Air 540 4 Corsair AF120 LED Purple 2 Corsair AF140 LED Purple

The G1 light is blue.. that's not very far off from purple. Continue your purple build, you and nobody else will care or notice that much.

It's like complaining about maroon instead of red.

I'm not sure what you mean with the rest of your post

Yes an air 540 is a decent case for WC.

ya ik the rest of my post doesn't make much sense but it annoys me because its like a bright blue compared to my darker purple and its really annoying

Not really sure what you mean about the LEDs and your dad but ok.......for the 2nd part of your post the Air 540 is a decent case. It has room for some large rads, I've even seen a crazy build and had a 360 on the front, 240 on the top, and 120 on the back. Most likely if it's a custom loop you might have to place the pump in the back section with the PSU, or at least that's what I've seen mostly done. It's a bit cramped though for a custom loop IMO, especially if you have a separate pump and reservoir.

Current PC build: [CPU: Intel i7 8700k] [GPU: GTX 1070 Asus ROG Strix] [Ram: Corsair LPX 32GB 3000MHz] [Mobo: Asus Prime Z370-A] [SSD: Samsung 970 EVO 500GB primary + Samsung 860 Evo 1TB secondary] [PSU: EVGA SuperNova G2 750w 80plus] [Monitors: Dual Dell Ultrasharp U2718Qs, 4k IPS] [Case: Fractal Design R5]

Basically his dad bought the parts for the rig and young fellow here wants to mod it but his dad being old and wise doesn't feel comfortable with him taking a soldering iron to the £300+ GPU. I'm not too up on the AIR's construction but would believe it if someone told me there is a big section behind the motherboard to house the PSU and much more.

Watercooling how? custom loop or AIO? You can get black tubing or purple tubing or even blue tubing, I suggest you do more research into what you would like to do, or decide on atleast one idea before proceeding.
