Designing a gaming PC, 1st build, no overclocking, budget $700-800, $700 better, MIRs OK, no crossfire/sli yet, but maybe a future upgrade, thinking something like this:

What do you guys think?

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

Eh. Don't want an i3.

Also, the only thing aside from the processor is the graphics card. Why is the graphics card better?

700 better just means that I want it closer to 700 than 800... Going up to 800 fine if there's a really good reason, and 750 is not a problem... I can afford the i5 and 290. :)
