testing a motherboard.

so today marks the day that I finally bought a Z77X-UD5H only after needing for 2.5 years and board will be here in 2 days.

It was cheap because first pcie 1x slot is apparently dead but warranty is available but i dont count on gigabyte's warranty.

What i have in my mind is

populate all slots with all the shit i have and see if they all work.

see if my current overclock is stable on the new board too.

memtest for 12 hours.

furmark for 12 hours

 

anything else that I should test before validating the payment? ( I have 48 hours before auto validation)

if it doesnt work ill just rma both of my motherboard (current ones internal audio is dead and warranty is about to expire) also my bitchin thermaltek psu is just fine.

okay I want to update 

I received the board and first thing i notice there was no warranty card thingy (which is usually required for direct RMA without contacting to distributor) anyways I plugged it in and see I was right on X16 slot ,it was broken and when i plug a card there I would get PCH error code also same thing with the above X1 slot then I tried the second X8 slot which only detected my graphics card in X2 mode and at that point I directly checked the serial number of the board on the distributors website and boom code wasnt detected (also called them which resulted in same thing) I just rma'd the card via original purchase place (luckily it was in my city and kinda close to me) I am fine with a repair (considering it is 2 gen old) even I will pay with my own money if they can repair the thing.

Board had no visual scratches or anything I updated bios to latest beta and even downgraded to oldest available and still had the same issues.

Good thing : my cpu does 4.5ghz with 1.26v (which my 4.2 ghz overclock with DS3H) and rams do 2000mhz again.

I WILL NEVER BUY A BROKEN BOARD AGAIN.
